Facilities
The WA Screen Academy operates from a Production Office equipped with the latest Mac computers with specific software including Movie Magic Budgeting and Scheduling, Final Draft, Final Cut Studio, etc. There are viewing facilities, telephones, a conference/plotting area and staff offices.
WASA exclusive equipment for field capture is current and professional (Sony EX1 HD); backed up by an extensive range of resources from the School of Communications and Arts.
Six fully equipped editing suites utilising the current version of Final Cut Studio & specific post software, plus access to 8 others for overflow editing
Post sound mixing is done in the WAAPA sound studios using ProTools. Multiple facilities for sound capture/origination and ADR exist on campus.
There are two fully equipped television studios on the Mt Lawley Campus. The studio at TAFEWA Central is used for the studio-multicam project.
